Wrexham Science Festival is a non profit-making public engagement event, and we rely on the generous support of our partners and sponsors to ensure the Festival continues its success year after year.

The Festival established in 1998 and has since become an integral part of the local community, as well as a key event for science enthusiasts from throughout Wales, the North West of England and the Midlands.

Attracting a large number of visitors a year, the Festival comprises a Schools Programme, a Competition, a Public Programme and an interactive and educational family day called Scientriffic.

As a sponsor of an event at the Wrexham Science Festival your organisation will be linked to a well established community event which attracts high profile, expert speakers and exhibitors and enjoys high attendance year on year. 

The 2009 Wrexham Science Festival proved to be a very successful event with more than 8,000 visitors overall. The Festival featured an eight-day programme of public lectures and presentations delving into the science of streetlights, sea levels, lasers and much more. 2009 was the International Year of Astronomy, and this was marked with a series of astronomy-themed events to whet any stargazer's appetite.

2010 will mark the 12th anniversary of the Wrexham Science Festival. The Festival will run from 1 - 10 July. It will feature a full programme of events, designed to appeal to all ages and interests – from events suitable for children to events designed to support business. A science-themed competition – one of the most popular elements of the festival since its introduction in 2007 – will again be repeated for 2010.

Our aim

Our aim with the Wrexham Science Festival is to reach as many people as possible in the local community to share in the amazing world of science. We do not make a profit, and almost all our events are free to attend. Where we do charge an entrance fee this is only to cover costs.

How you can help

With your sponsorship we can keep as many elements of the Public Programme free to attend as possible. This allows us to continue working towards our aim of giving everyone in the local community a chance to learn.

Our sponsorship packages

We do not have set sponsorship packages because we want you to have the flexibility to pick and choose what is most appropriate to your organisation or business.

You will be able to choose from sponsoring a particular Public Lecture to the Wrexham Science Festival as a whole.
